About Me

A mom of 4, I blog very rarely, and use this mostly for future memory of when I forgot to capture these events in a baby book somewhere.

oh my gosh

Will just says to me,

"Mom, do you know how I say, 'Oh my gosh' to EVERYTHING?"
Yeah, why?
"I just like it when I say 'Oh my gosh'

Dance Breaking

I turned on the kids music channel on tv the other day, and Will busted out "dance breaking" he called it. Where did he learn that? My only guess is from So You Think You Can Dance, but he doesn't ever watch it with me, and I haven't seen it at all since we moved here, but...

Kirstine Dancing

Kirstine LOVES to dance. Almost every time she hears a good beat she busts out. Sometimes it's just bouncing, other's it's a little tap dancing then a bounce. Sometimes she adds some good spins in. Here are four little clips of her. The first two are from Fourth of July. It was so cute because we let her loose and she stopped, danced, ran, danced, ran, danced. and so on. she had a bit of a crowd watching her. it was just adorable. and watch at the end of the second one she's about to do the butterfly.

4th of July

Scott worked his first moonlighting shift up here from noon to 5. Right before he left Will asked to see his favorite show, which is Star Wars, so we watched Episode 6. Towards the end he looked up at papa and said, "I wanna go to sleep just a little on you" and then he fell asleep (notice the matching outfits. Will had to change once he saw what papa was wearing).
We met Scott at his aunt and uncle's house for homemade icecream, yummy, then we invited them to come along with us to the Homewood Fourth of July Festival. This was super fun. They closed down 2 streets in downtown Homewood, and had lots of kid carnival rides and inflatables set up. They sold tickets for those, 1 - 4 tickets each, and they also had pony rides and horse/carriage rides. It was overcast, but never rained, so the weather was very nice.
This is Will with Scott's cousin, Rob (Will's new best friend)

This is Rob again and Aunt Janet giving K some very watered down free lemonade.

There were some people selling baby beagles. They were so cute!

The hoola hoop contest. My kids so should have won.

Kirstine loved the fireworks at first, but got bored quickly, so papa took her. Will HATES fireworks so we were already back to our car by the time they started with our escape already planned. Scott took him into the car and he LOVED THEM! It was so nice being able to watch fireworks finally. He was so cute yelling out what colors and shapes they were, and which ones he wanted to see again.

Thursday night was fun, but Friday night was much better!

Self Confidence

I'm upstairs changing Kirstine, and Will yells for me so I yell back. He comes up, asks what we're doing and I tell him. Then I ask, "What were you yelling at me for?" He says, "I need you to look at me, cuz sometimes I look cute." I don't believe we will have a self esteem problem with him.

July 3rd

Thursday night we went to a community center like place. They had the pool open for free swimming for a few hours (which was WONDERFUL since it was SOOO hot!). Then they had some bouncies on the baseball field. They had a lot of vendors set up giving out free stuff, the orchestra from one of the churches, a magician, and they had food at the concession stand. We opted to leave and go out to eat. Once we were done we were a little tired and didn't want to go back for the laser light show, so we went home.

All in all it was a fun evening.
