first bath (warning - explicit nudity)

first week

with the older two down in florida, the house has been oh so quiet. we are having some very good bonding time with benjamin, though we don't like that he wants to hang out with us in the middle of the night. he is a pleasant kid, though, and seems to have a good disposition. quite good looking too, if i do say so myself. here are a few pictures of the day we brought him home and the days following.

benjamin made his entrance on monday, august 10th at 12:44pm. no complications with the c-section, and that joker came out screaming and looking all perfect. he weighs 8lbs 1 oz and measured 20 inches in length (though i think they shorted him). jaime did wonderfully. she spent the majority of the day in a drug-induced daze, although she was cogent during the few times that she woke up. benjamin has been a pretty calm guy so far, and is starting to get the hang of this thing we call 'feeding'. will and kirstine have been up to see him a few times and they are great with him, but can be a little overzealous in their hugging and squeezing from time to time. special thanks to gran and papa for being so helpful while they are up here.
we're looking to go home on thursday morning/afternoon. thanks for all of your prayers.
